FOSTER CROUCH CONSULTANTS has been operating as both search and management consultants since 1977, specialising almost exclusively in communications appointments for both public relations consultancies, and in-house roles internationally. Our clients range from “blue-chip” multi-nationals to specialist consultancies and professional practices. In essence our clients rely on us to find the right communications professional for their needs.

All our consultants have either worked in industry or consultancy and understand fully the importance of providing candidates who have the required skill set and who will fit.
It is important that we meet the client, understand his rationale and discuss issues whether they are in response to a defined brief or to develop a job description.
From a recruitment standpoint, we try not to advertise preferring to use our expertise to find the right person for a job, rather than the best candidate who replies to an advertisement. On occasion we will advertise, but only to complement our search activity and our extensive database.
However, considerable research is always necessary to identify the best to match our clients’ needs – we will not put square pegs into round holes. For example, no potential candidate is invited to our office unless, at the outset, they meet certain criteria.
This is determined by unofficial reference checks and/or recommendations on an individual’s personality, man-management skills, bottom-line responsibility, general competence and, from a consultancy point of view, some idea of their ability as a business developer. In order to glean this information, invariably we contact those who may have had direct experience of working with the potential candidate. In other words, we network. As a search and management consultancy, we are also involved in merger and acquisition work.
